Family Campout Information – October 7-9

We are really looking forward to the Family Campout and visit to the Nina & Pinta ships the weekend of October 7-9.  All the details on both great events are listed in the attachment.

Family Campout
The Family campout is for everyone.  It is a great time to get together as a Pack, have some fun and camp in the great outdoors. Camp Warren Levis is a great camp with lots of areas to explore.  If you don’t have a tent, just let us know and we’ll work something out.  The fun begins Friday, October 7 at around 5pm and ends Sunday, October 9 at around 1:00pm.    We will also be camping with Pack 31, so it should be an great time with all the Cub Scouts.

We would love you to come for the whole weekend, but if you have conflicts you are welcome to come for either night.  You can also come up for the day and join in on the activities.

Nina & Pinta Trip
During the afternoon of Saturday, October 8, we will be carpooling over to Grafton, IL to see the replicas of the Nina & Pinta boats that were used by Columbus.  Seems very appropriate that we will be able to see these boats on Columbus Day weekend.  Truely a great opportunity! The cost if $4 per person and we will need to know who is going to make sure we have a good count for the boats.

If you are not camping with us, I would encourage you to make plans to come up for this great activity.  We should be starting the tour at around 1pm.  After the tour of the boats, we’ll be stopping by Eckert’s in Grafton to pick up a pumpkin for everybody.

It is now the time to sell Cub Scout Popcorn!

Pack Meeting a Success

The August end of summer Pack meeting was a great success.  The boys were able to build and race boats, play water games and watch the water rockets take off.

At the end of the fun and games, everyone cooled off with some ice cream.
